I hope your week is off to a good start. This week we have some more fun activities planned and some good news to share.
We raised $329 at last Saturday’s breakfast for fire protection and preparedness. The board will be meeting with the South Fork fire chief to discuss ideas and possible projects to increase our preparedness. Thank you for your participation and generous donations. We will have another Saturday breakfast for the purpose of raising money for fire preparedness on September 12. If you’d like to volunteer to cook breakfast on that date… contact a board member and let us know.
Our defibrillator has arrived and has a new home – in its’ case on the wall at the clubhouse near the north door. We hope there is never a reason to use it, but in case of an emergency it will be accessible for us. Jeff Johnson has offered to donate a new keyless door lock for that access point. Thanks, Jeff! The Palmers’ granddaughter Mandi gave us a discount of 15% on the purchase. Special thanks to Shawna Goodwin and Mandi for making the arrangements for us to make this a reality.
Don’t forget Shawna will lead a defibrillator training session on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 10:00 AM with a luncheon immediately following. I encourage you to make plans to attend; I will ask for rsvp’s nearer the date.
The backhoe was successfully sold for $2,500 and the money is deposited in our savings account. That money is earmarked for the rental of equipment that may be needed in the future.
The ladies’ luncheon will be at Tiny Timbers on Wednesday, August 26 – please gather at the clubhouse at 11:00.
The Cap’n Willie’s Fish Fry will be on FishFriday (when else?), August 28 at the clubhouse. The gathering is 4:00ish, dinner served when the fish are ready… probably about the five o’clock hour. Please rsvp to Matt or Michelle Moore and let them know what you plan to bring.
The wastewater committee had a property walk through with our Davis Engineering technician today. Davis’ survey team will plan to survey Aqua Ramon the third week of September as they gather information for the design of our new wastewater treatment facility. I will let you know when the exact date that survey takes place is finalized.
Hoping the ladies attending the Tupperware party are having fun… and as of press time, no decision on where the trail ride is going on Tuesday, but the show will go on…
Have a great week!
